Vintage Made Modern.
Vintage furniture and decor, curated for modern living.
Miscellanea, Etc. is a vintage furniture and decor brand based in Chicago. We source one-of-a-kind pieces with history, character, and quality, then present them in a way that feels inspiring, approachable, and easy to shop. Our goal is simple: to help you bring home vintage pieces you love without the overwhelm of digging through endless antique malls, thrift stores, or overpriced designer showrooms.
Vintage made easier.
We started Miscellanea because we believe plenty of good design already exists in the world. Vintage furniture and vintage decor bring warmth, individuality, and craftsmanship into a home in a way mass-produced pieces rarely can. But traditional vintage shopping can also be time-consuming, inconsistent, and hard to navigate.
That is where we come in.
We carefully curate regular collections of vintage furniture, lighting, art, and home decor that feel collected, functional, and ready to live with now. Every piece is chosen with an eye for form, quality, and versatility so shopping vintage feels less overwhelming and much more approachable.
Good vintage, without the overwhelm.
We believe vintage shopping should feel inspiring, not intimidating. That means a clear point of view, a thoughtful online experience, and pricing that feels fair and reasonable.
At Miscellanea, you will find one-of-a-kind vintage furniture and decor that is design-forward, approachable, and easier to shop than the traditional hunt. We care less about gatekeeping provenance and more about helping you find pieces that make your home feel personal, layered, and truly your own.
We also believe great vintage does not have to mean out-of-reach pricing. We work hard to keep our collection thoughtful and special while offering prices that feel reasonable relative to the quality, craftsmanship, and character of each piece.
Curated for modern living.
Our collection focuses on vintage furniture and vintage decor for the home, including storage pieces, seating, tables, lighting, artwork, mirrors, and decorative objects. We are drawn to pieces with sculptural form, timeless materials, and the kind of patina that gives a space depth and personality.
Some pieces are ready exactly as found. Others are lightly refreshed, restored, or refinished when needed to bring them to modern-day quality while preserving their original charm.
A better way to shop vintage.
We built Miscellanea to make shopping vintage feel more intuitive, inspiring, and approachable. Our website and physical spaces are designed to help you quickly understand what a piece is, how it looks, how it functions, and whether it is right for your home.
Our Chicago showroom is styled like a studio apartment, so you can experience vintage furniture and decor in context rather than imagining each piece on its own. By arranging the collection the way you might actually live with it, we hope to spark ideas, show how different styles can work together, and make it easier to envision pieces in your own space.
That same thinking carries through to our online shop, where detailed photography, dimensions, condition notes, and practical purchasing information help you shop with confidence from anywhere.

Meet the founders.
Miscellanea was founded by Lauren and Michael, a husband and wife duo with a shared love of beautiful spaces, thoughtful design, and the kind of vintage pieces that make a home feel personal. After years of working in creative industries in New York City, they relocated to Chicago and brought that combined experience into building a business centered around curation, character, and ease.
Michael is a professional interiors photographer who worked in-house with luxury interior brands in New York, developing a deep appreciation for the details that make a space feel layered, elevated, and lived in. Lauren spent more than a decade as an art director for fashion, beauty, and home brands, shaping visual stories and brand experiences with an editorial eye. Together, they bring those backgrounds into every part of Miscellanea, from the way pieces are sourced and styled to the way customers experience them online, in the showroom, and at the warehouse.
Their goal is to make vintage feel more approachable: less overwhelming, more inspiring, and easier to bring into everyday life. The result is a collection of vintage furniture and decor that feels curated, warm, and thoughtfully chosen for the way people live now.
