Shipping and Delivery

We ship furniture and decor across the country, deliver locally in the Chicago area, and offer free pickup at both of our spaces. Shipping is calculated at checkout once you enter your address, so you'll see the real cost before you pay.

Free local pickup

Pick up at either location, no charge:

Orders are usually ready within 24 hours. We'll email you when yours is ready and set up a time. Second floor at the showroom, so buzz in.

Local delivery in Chicago

Furniture delivers by white glove service in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Our delivery partners bring the piece into your home, place it in the room you want it, and take the packing with them.

Rates depend on the size of the piece and where you are, and they're calculated at checkout. If you're ordering decor along with furniture, it rides along on the same local delivery at no extra charge.

Once your order is placed, we'll email you to schedule a delivery window that works.

Nationwide furniture shipping

Furniture ships anywhere in the continental US through our freight partners. Rates are calculated at checkout based on the size of the piece and your region.

Freight takes longer than parcel. Plan on 2 to 3 weeks from order to delivery, and we'll email you with tracking and a delivery window once your piece is on a truck.

A few things worth knowing about freight: the carrier will call to schedule, someone 18 or older needs to be home to receive and sign, and service is curbside or threshold unless we've arranged otherwise. If you need in-home placement or stairs, email us before you order and we'll quote it.

Oversized pieces and shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are quoted individually. Email hello@miscellaneaetc.com with the piece and your zip and we'll get you a number.

Decor shipping

Decor and smaller pieces ship UPS Ground from our Andersonville showroom, usually within 1 to 2 business days. Orders placed by 12pm CT go out the next day. Orders after 12pm go out the following day.

Shipping is free on decor orders over $500. Rush shipping is available at checkout on decor-only orders and isn't included in free shipping.

Lamps ship in two boxes, one for the base and one for the shade, so you may get two tracking numbers.

If your order includes both furniture and decor and you're outside the Chicago area, the decor ships separately by parcel and will likely arrive first.

Packing

Decor is packed by hand here. Furniture is blanket-wrapped and, when a piece calls for it, crated. We insure shipments at no cost to you.

When your piece arrives

Look it over before the driver leaves if you can. If something is damaged in transit, email hello@miscellaneaetc.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging. Details are in our Return and Refund Policy.
